Fawad Khan
Fawad Afzal Khan is a Pakistani actor, producer, scriptwriter, model, judge, and singer who was born on November 29, 1981. He is widely recognized as one of Pakistan's greatest modern performers, having won multiple prizes including a Filmfare Award, three Lux Style Awards, and six Hum Awards.
Khan began his acting career in the sitcom Jutt and Bond on television. With the show's co-stars, he created Entity Paradigm, an alternative rock band, and launched his musical career as its lead singer. Khan was shortlisted for the lead role in the film "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" shortly after his arrival on the scene; however, the role was later won by another Pakistani actor, Riz Ahmad, who received numerous honors and global renown.
His breakthrough came in the television period drama Dastaan (2010), for which he won the Pakistan Media Awards' Best Male Actor Award. Khan participated in Sultana Siddiqui's family drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai and played a prominent role in the Pakistani television series Humsafar (2011). (2012). He won the Lux Style Award for Best Actor - Satellite for both performances. Khan made his Bollywood film debut in the romantic comedy Khoobsurat (2014), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance. Khan was born on November 29, 1981, in Karachi, Pakistan, into a Pathan family. He was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, and speaks Punjabi as his native language. His father was born in Patiala, British India (now Punjab, India), and moved to Pakistan as a child following the partition of 1947. His mother's ancestors came from Lucknow, British India (now Uttar Pradesh). Khan's father worked in pharmaceutical sales when he was younger, which led the family to relocate to Athens, Dubai, Riyadh, and Manchester during the Gulf War. When he was 13, his family moved back to Lahore. He has two sisters; Aliya, his older sister, is an architect, and Sana, his younger sister, is a doctor. Khan earned a bachelor's degree in software engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) in Lahore after completing his A-levels at the Lahore Grammar School, Johar Town (LGS JT). He began acting after being unable to find work as a coder. Khan stated in a Forbes India interview that he had also been unable to find work in the marketing field. By then he could play guitar, bass, and drums, and became Entity Paradigm's lead singer. Khan's first amateur performance was in the play Spartacus, in which he played the titular role.
Acting career:
Khan's first television appearance was as a bumbling spy named Bond in the 2001 sitcom Jutt and Bond, where he co-starred in with his bandmate Ahmad Ali Butt. Shoaib Mansoor's sociodrama Khuda Kay Liye was his debut film, in which he played a musician who gets indoctrinated by the local maulvi. Although the film earned excellent reviews, Khan's performance received mixed reviews. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama said it was "strictly OK,"[, but Gaurav Malani of The Economic Times found him "engaged" in the role of an extremist. The film, which was released in 2007, grossed Rs 250 million, making it one of Pakistan's highest-grossing films. Khan's debut television series was Haissam Hussain's comedy Akbari Asghari, a modern rendition of Mirat-ul-Uroos, in which he played Asghar, an unambitious villager who aspires to marry one of his cousins. Khan described his character as "totally oaf[ish]" in an interview with The Hindu's Anuj Kumar. In his third collaboration with Hussain, Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan, he played a computer engineer who wants to take over his uncle's business alongside Sanam Baloch, Meekal Zulfiqar, and Ayesha Khan. Khan went on to act alongside Mahira Khan in Sarmad Khoosat's TV serial drama Humsafar, for which he won the Lux Style Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2012. Humsafar is Pakistan's most popular television show. The series was appreciated, as was Khan's performance. In The Indian Express, Ranika Rajani lauded Humsafar.
In Sarmad Khoosat's Ashk, Khan played Rohail, a Turkish resident who travels to Pakistan to marry his cousin but instead marries her sister. In Sultana Siddiqui's family drama TV series Zindagi Gulzar Hai, he played a member of an affluent family (with Sanam Saeed). The serial, which is one of Pakistan's most critically acclaimed dramas, was also well-received in India. [56] The Indian Express' Dipti Sharma praised Khan's performance. Although Khan was scheduled to make his Bollywood debut immediately after the release of Khuda Kay Liye, the insecure political scenario between India and Pakistan following the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks forced him to postpone his debut. He made his Bollywood debut alongside Sonam Kapoor in Shashanka Ghosh's 2014 comedy-drama Khoobsurat. Khan will next be seen opposite Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbassi in Bilal Lashari's action film The Legend of Maula Jattin which Fawad will reprise Sultan Rahi's title role. He put on a lot of weight for the part. He's also set to play Alamgir, a pop singer, in Sultan Ghani's Albela Rahi. He'll also appear in the comedy Money Back Guarantee, directed by Faisal Qureshi. In the film Neelofer, he will be featured alongside Mahira Khan. Fawad Khan will also star in the next film "Aan" by acclaimed director and producer Haseeb Hasan. Khan will also appear in the next Ms. Marvel web miniseries, which will air on Disney and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Personal Life:
After a seven-year romance, Khan married Sadaf Khan in 2005. They have three children. In August 2012, Khan and his wife launched Silk by Fawad Khan, a clothing line whose debut collection debuted in Lahore.
After an accident that damaged his pancreas, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 17.
Khan was scratched and jumped into unclean water after the event occurred behind a swimming pool. When he lost 10 kilograms, he realized he had the condition (22 lb).
Khan and his family undertook Hajj, the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, in 2018 and were invited to the Annual Hajj Lunch by Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
